TWO MONTH CHALLENGE
This post is a bit different from the rest. For a while now, I have thought about how to get more energy during this depressive fall season. Which are the best ways to be positive and energetic? At first I thought of a one month change. For a long time I was thinking maybe not eating candy or sweets or not drinking wine, or perhaps even one months ban on shopping would help. In the end I realized I really want to challenge myself, and I want to do it for two months.
So what does this mean exactly?
When I was younger, I used to do figure skating, on competition level. This meant training everyday on-ice, as well as off-ice. In the end I had to quit due to a sports injury. Right now the diagnosis about my foot is plantar fasciitis which is described as following: Plantar fasciitis (also known as plantar fasciopathy or jogger's hee*l*) is a common painful disorder affecting the heel and underside of the foot. To this day it is still not cured, so I had to stop active sports and well you can all guess what came instead of sports. Countless late nights out with friends and many sleepless hours.
At the end of the summer, I soon realized that summer for me was not really over. I got less and less sleep and stress from work started really weighing me down. My foot started showing symptoms that I had back in the days when I was doing sports. At this moment, I had come to realize that something needs to be changed and the change has to be for good.
In the following two months, I will focus on my own well-being and sports. Today I signed a contract with a gym. The contract is valid for three months, and during those three months, I will try out new things, and see how and what kind of training will be suitable for me and especially for my foot. The meaning of this is not to be a nazi with the whole training thing and watch every bite that I eat. The whole point is for me to feel good about myself as well as maintain a balance with my everyday life and sports.
Of course my blog is a huge part of this whole process. Not because of cooperation with the gym or anything like that, but because of my own motivation and receiving support from you guys is important for me. I won?t forget beauty and fashion during this process, they will be staying here on the blog as always, but now there will be a new category including posts about sports as well as well-being. I will be very honest with my posts about sports and the activities that I do, so I hope you will keep up! ;) In addition, I have a wish that as many of you as possible, would start this awesome challenge with me. It would be nice to hear and share your experiences here. This doesn't mean you need to go to the nearest gym, and sign a contract. You can also train from home, and change the small things such as your sleeping schedule or eating habits etc. The main point of this is to start training and changing your rhythm from a fresh start.
And in the end there is a prize, we will all look great by New Year's Eve ;)
By tomorrow I will release the first post regarding this topic.
P.S. Commentary on my blog is open again, so all kinds of comments are more than welcome. Have a great weekend!
